From self-employed to employed by

“A few years ago I started working for Titan before. Back then I often did assembly and welding work on site, not only for Titan but also for many other companies. About a year back, I was hired again by Titan to support in work preparation, a job I had previously done in the dairy industry as well. My background is in Mechatronics, a study with which you learn all facets of engineering, and so applied in my time as a freelancer.
As a freelancer, I did many challenging projects, including many on weekends or shifts. Although I enjoyed the work, I was looking for more of a challenge. Titan offered an interesting opportunity at one point. Because I was already working here as a freelancer at the time, the transition was smooth.
During that period, I was thinking about my future. Personal development was crucial for me, and at Titan I have the opportunity to learn from colleagues who are further along than me in their careers. Still, I’m glad I also worked as a freelancer. It has given me enriching insights and I have learned a lot at many companies, I can still fall back on this knowledge every day.
There is still much to learn at Titan and I will certainly do so in the years to come.”
